The booming industrial and logistics market has undergone significant transformation in Australia over the past decade, delivering exceptional returns for investors.
Many of our members are currently investing in and executing their largest ever industrial development pipelines, particularly on the eastern seaboard, unlocking critical new warehouse facilities to support Australia’s supply chain and create thousands of local jobs through the construction phase. Australia’s logistics market is underpinned by solid fundamentals – including strong customer and investor demand – and the success of this sector is essential to Australia’s prosperity and access to goods. Our advocacy work for this sector focuses on removing red tape, unlocking investment and development opportunities in growth zones, and promoting a supportive planning environment.Â
This page presents our suite of information and resources related to the sector and more about our advocacy to grow and support industrial property, including employment lands policy and associated planning and infrastructure delivery frameworks.Â
Our Industry Committees
There are a number of Committees across the country dedicated to advancing our work in the industrial sector.
Industry Committees are made up of 12-25 property professionals from around Australia, who are experts in the relevant field. Committees meet every four to six weeks to discuss issues and projects relevant to their expertise and the focus of the Committee.
Being selected as a member of a Property Council Committee gives you the opportunity to help shape the future and influence the organisation’s advocacy agenda. Members have the opportunity to contribute to important, focused industry discussions while building their professional networks and knowledge.Â
As part of our 40-40-20 commitment to gender equity, all our Committees comprise a minimum of 40 per cent female representatives. Committee members are appointed for a two-year term, with the current Committees commencing their tenure in February 2023.
