We know that cities are the engines of our economy and the hubs that bring people together.
Quality precincts and infrastructure sit at the heart of prosperous societies and are essential to liveability. Particularly in light of the hit our major cities took during the pandemic and associated lockdowns, activity that helps revitalise our cities features strongly in our advocacy work. Australia’s population is expected to grow to 29.9 million by 2033, and we know that majority of the growth will happen in our cities. Protecting and enhancing our high standards of liveability and leaving a legacy we can all be proud of is core to our advocacy work in this sector.
This page collates our suite of information, resources, industry committees and events related to precincts, infrastructure and other key indicators related to Australia’s cities, as well as our advocacy agenda and precincts planning frameworks.

Our Industry Committees
There are a number of Committees across the country dedicated to advancing our work related to cities, precincts and infrastructure.
Industry Committees are made up of 12-25 property professionals from around Australia, who are experts in the relevant field. Committees meet every four to six weeks to discuss issues and projects relevant to their expertise and the focus of the Committee.
Being selected as a member of a Property Council Committee gives you the opportunity to help shape the future and influence the organisation’s advocacy agenda. Members have the opportunity to contribute to important, focused industry discussions while building their professional networks and knowledge.
As part of our 40-40-20 commitment to gender equity, all our Committees comprise a minimum of 40 per cent female representatives. Committee members are appointed for a two-year term, with the current Committees commencing their tenure in February 2023.
