Experience Brissie-ism with the Museum of Brisbane 

A cultural movement is sweeping Brisbane. The Museum of Brisbane (MoB) is promoting Brissie-ism and they are inviting Brisbanites to get involved in this initiative. 

With great experiences on offer the MoB invites you to come and ignite your pride in Brisbane through shared stories and experiences. 

World of Wonder: Margot McKinney

Currently on is World of Wonder’s fourth exhibition in MoB’s Identity Series that celebrates creative greats who call Brisbane Home. You can come and learn more about Australian jewellery designer Margot McKinney who is billed as one of the world’s boldest talents.

Her extraordinary pieces are known as celebrations of the world’s rarest gems.

Museum of Brisbane historic walking tours 

A range of walking tours are currently on offer:

  • Brisbane City Walking Tour: Past and Present
    Selected Fridays and Saturdays, 10:30am – 12:00pm or booked on demand. Taking you through Brisbane’s shared histories of Traditional Custodians, convicts, public art and one of Brisbane’s towering cathedrals, this short walk is one not to be missed. 
  • History on the Hill 
    Select Tuesdays, 9:30am or booked on demand. Stretch your legs and imaginations as you trek through the history books. 
  • Public Art Walking Tour 
    Group bookings on demand to take you through Brisbane’s diverse and prolific public art. This guided tour will remind you to look up, down and all around. 
  • Walking in Wartime
    Group bookings on demand. This walking tour will see you step back in time to Brisbane during the Second World War. The world of jazz music, Yankee soldiers and the infamous Battle of Brisbane await!
