The GPT Group announced that Merran Edwards has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer effective no later than 1 July 2024.
Merran will join GPT from Investa where she has been the Head of Investment Management and Chief Financial Officer. Merran has more than 20 years’ experience in real estate, finance and investment banking and has held various real estate and corporate advisory roles, including as Chief Financial Officer at AMP Capital Real Estate. Merran also previously held roles at UBS in the Investment Banking division and at KPMG in Transaction Services.
Russell Proutt, who commenced as CEO this month, has been appointed to the GPT Board as CEO and Managing Director.
Knight Frank in Perth has made a new appointment to its Office Leasing team, with Matt Lutman starting in the role of Director, Office Leasing.
Mr Lutman moves to Knight Frank from his role of Director, Tenant Representation at JLL in Perth, which he has held for the past two and a half years, providing commercial real estate advisory and lease acquisition services.

The country’s Building Ministers have appointed the Property Council’s Director, National Policy Francesca Muskovic to the Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB).
The ABCB is the standards writing body responsible for the National Construction Code.
Frankie will serve as an industry representative, advising on important issues relating to housing supply and sustainable building.
