This is the message NSW Minister for Planning and Public Spaces the Hon Paul Scully shared with a full room of attendees at the Hunter Lunch held in Newcastle. The Minister spoke of government’s planning reform agenda and the work that is being progressed since the announcement of their transit-oriented development program late last year.
Following this keynote, Hunter Chapter Chair and Principal at Compose Consulting Newcastle Julie Rich asked the Minister the tough questions that were on everyone’s lips around transport infrastructure, housing and mines grouting as it relates more specifically to the Hunter.
It was great to hear of the Minister’s commitment to the region and to progressing projects such as the Broadmeadow Precinct, and we appreciated the time he’s taken to engage with industry. We remain committed to working with his government to bring about positive outcomes for the region.
