Notes

Australia is ageing at an unprecedented rate. Four decades from now, more than 1 in 5 people will be aged 65 years and over.

This is a seismic shift in the composition of our population and requires an unprecedented response from industry.

For the first time, the leaders of the retirement living industry will be together in Perth sharing their insights about what that response will look like.

With thousands of residents calling their retirement communities home, they’ll identify the opportunities and also the challenges for the sector in the years ahead.

Reflecting on the critical issues they’ve confronted in other jurisdictions, the leaders will share their strategic responses, helping attendees prepare for any emerging parallels in a WA context.

Attendees will learn about the Retirement Living Council’s nationwide actions including: their 8-point-plan, design excellence, new contract models, legislative changes impacting the industry across the nation and insights from the recent major national industry campaign, “A wise move”™ .

See how Western Australia can get ready for the silver tsunami while meeting increased community expectations and be future retirement-ready, today.
