Larry Kestelman, Executive Group Chair, LK Group

Larry Kestelman is one of Australia’s best-known entrepreneurs as the founder of Dodo, and owner of the National Basketball League. Larry’s business interests extend across sport, hospitality, technology, and property development. After a twenty-five-year absence, Larry has granted a National Basketball League license back to Tasmania, with the Tasmania JackJumpers re-entering the competition for the 2021/22 season. As part of his commitment to the State, Larry has also acquired a long-term lease of the Derwent Entertainment Centre and is managing it’s redevelopment. In a major keynote address overlooking Wilkinson’s Point, Larry will share with a Tasmanian tourism and business audience his own journey as a property developer, his aspirations for the JackJumpers to become a global brand for Tasmania, and his vision to activate the DEC and Wilkinson’s Point as a centre of hospitality and events activity in Greater Hobart.

Marnie Craig, CEO, Business Events Tasmania (BET)

Business Events Tasmania is a not-for-profit member organisation responsible for marketing Tasmania as a destination for conferences, conventions, and other business events. BET works with industry and government partners to promote Tasmania as a business events destination and bid for lucrative events across the State. Marnie will provide a state of play on the Tasmanian Business Events Market as the sector begins to recover from COVID. The outlook for Tasmania’s business events calendar over the next 12-months and what the State must do to grow our share of this valuable visitor market.

TICT will also launch at the luncheon its annual Tasmanian Tourism Investment Report.

Cancellation policy

FACE TO FACE EVENTS We will offer a FULL REFUND of your registration cost if the event you have registered for is cancelled because the government or territory extends or amends its existing COVID-19 restrictions. We will also offer a FULL REFUND of your ticket if you are unable to attend the event due to: changes in your organisation’s protocols regarding event attendance, you present with flu like or COVID-19 symptoms pre event or, you answer yes on any of the screening questions at registration and are refused entry. ONLINE EVENTS All cancellations must be requested in writing however no refunds will be given to cancellations made less than five (5) business days prior to the event as catering arrangements have already been confirmed. We are happy to accept a replacement at no additional cost.

Terms and conditions

Australia is currently in the midst of the world-wide COVID-19 crisis. We will refund your registration cost if the event you have registered for is cancelled because the government extends or amends its existing COVID-19 restrictions. Registrations are for individual delegates only and cannot be split or shared between multiple people. Payment is required prior to the event. The Property Council of Australia reserves the right to alter speaker/s or program of events or cancel the event in its entirety. The Property Council of Australia reserves the right to refuse entry to or remove from the premises any person who it considers (in their sole and absolute discretion) is causing annoyance. Your registration is accepted on the basis of these conditions. The collection of individual registration details is primarily so that we can register you and your colleagues for the event. The information will be stored in the Property Council’s database and may be used for future marketing of Property Council events and may also be provided to the event sponsors. If you do not wish your details to be made available to external parties, we ask that you notify us by a written request to the Property Council Database Manager. Property Council often undertakes or facilitates photography and/or video at our events and conferences. These images and footage may be used in future promotions that include but are not limited to website, direct mail, marketing collateral, email, sales documents and other uses by Property Council of Australia. Should a registered participant seek to be excluded from such future uses of images, you must register your request with a Property Council staff member on the day of the designated event. No further correspondence or permissions will alternatively be sought.
