The Blacktown City Council area has experienced sustained growth since the 1960s, developing into a vibrant, dynamic and multicultural city and with new plans for the Blacktown and Mount Druitt CBDs, combined with the progressive release of the North West Growth Area, this growth shows no signs of slowing down.
Over the next ten years, Blacktown's population will exceed that of Tasmania and its regional economic activity will exceed $26 billion. As Chief Executive Officer of Blacktown City Council, Kerry Robinson leads and organisation tasked with providing the city with more opportunities, better services and improved connectivity, while delivering the right mix of homes, open spaces and centres.
This session will address Council's regional advocacy agenda, its approach to investment attraction, the use of its property portfolio to promote economic development and its participation in the NSW Government’s Accelerated Infrastructure Fund and the Council Acceleration Program.
