Our nation is in the midst of a housing affordability crisis, with more and more Australians giving up on the dream of one day owning their own home.

“Friend or foe? The role of media in the housing affordability crisis” lunch is the latest meeting of property correspondents to discuss the most crucial part of the Australian economy and how it is affected by the media.

Property journalism plays an influential role in investors, builders and aspiring homeowners.

But how has it affected Australia’s housing affordability?

Has the media been complicit? Or advocates for positive change?

Should the media hold the government more accountable on housing?

Curated and moderated by Australia’s leading property journalists, across four different and leading newsrooms, this agenda-setting affair conveys together the industry’s most influential voices all under the same roof to dissect the impact of the media in Australia’s housing affordability crisis.

Join us and our star-studded panel for this inaugural event which is certain to start off with a bang.
