INDUSTRIAL AND SUPPLY CHAIN INDUSTRY DIPLOMA

The industrial / logistics market across Australia is thriving and the growth of E-Commerce is redefining how warehouses operate, where goods are manufactured and delivered from and how the general population purchases, pays for and consumes products.  

As an owner, investor, occupier, or operator of industrial property it is now more important than ever to understand the full supply chain and how this impacts every single aspect of industrial property.  

The Industrial and Supply Chain Industry Diploma is for those with a career or looking for a career in the Industrial / Logistics real estate sector. This course will focus on four key areas and will be delivered using a combination of self-paced content and face-to-face learning. 


THE INDUSTRIAL AND SUPPLY CHAIN INDUSTRY DIPLOMA CONSISTS OF THREE STEPS: 

1. 4 x Online Self-Paced Modules (Approx. 8 hours) 
2. 3 Day face to face course – Applying knowledge learnt via case studies and group work 
3. Formal Assessment  
The self-paced modules must be completed before the face-to-face learning commences. 

TOPICS COVERED INCLUDE:  

Supply Chain 

Participants will be able to:

  • Understand and identify competing objectives in a supply chain context that relate to a specific property selection.  
  • Identify costs drivers of supply chain impacting property choice
  • Analyse Property Cost in Overall Supply Chain/Logistics Spend
  • Understand key supply chain trends
  • Apply supply chain knowledge to have more engaging conversations with clients

Transactions and Development 

Participants will be able to:

  • Understand the process of identifying, purchasing, developing, and constructing an industrial facility  
  • Analyse financial modelling of a prospective purchase and development

Asset Management 

Participants will be able to:

  • Investigate, identify, analyse and implement strategies to improve investment returns of logistic assets

Leasing

Participants will be able to:

  • Identify key stakeholders and definitions of a leasing transaction
  • Identify and analyse the main lease types applicable to the industrial sector
  • Apply and analyse a heads of agreement to a leasing transaction/ negotiation
  • Identify the relevant negotiation opportunities and apply it

Cancellation policy

All cancellations must be requested in writing however no refunds will be given to cancellations made less than five (5) business days prior to the event as catering arrangements have already been confirmed. We are happy to accept a replacement at no additional cost.

Registrations are for individual delegates only and cannot be split or shared between multiple people. Payment is required prior to the event. The Property Council of Australia reserves the right to alter speaker/s or program of events or cancel the event in its entirety. The Property Council of Australia reserves the right to refuse entry to or remove from the premises any person who it considers (in their sole and absolute discretion) is causing annoyance. Your registration is accepted on the basis of these conditions. The collection of individual registration details is primarily so that we can register you and your colleagues for the event. The information will be stored in the Property Council’s database and may be used for future marketing of Property Council events and may also be provided to the event sponsors. If you do not wish your details to be made available to external parties, we ask that you notify us by a written request to the Property Council Database Manager. Property Council often undertakes or facilitates photography and/or video at our events and conferences. These images and footage may be used in future promotions that include but are not limited to website, direct mail, marketing collateral, email, sales documents and other uses by Property Council of Australia. Should a registered participant seek to be excluded from such future uses of images, you must register your request with a Property Council staff member on the day of the designated event. No further correspondence or permissions will alternatively be sought.
