Eligibility

This award is only applicable to individual nominations. Team entries are ineligible for this award as are self nominations.

Category

This award will recognise and reward outstanding internal or external campaigns, projects and/or case studies within the context of ESG. The winner of this award will display very strong analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of how ESG factors relate to risks and opportunities.

They will provide evidence of objectives, insight, innovative and inventive execution in gathering organisational support and change in the key pillars of ESG either in their own organisation, or for the benefit of another organisation or the broader industry.

This award can apply to all sectors including (but not limited to) ESG advisors and consultants, designers, developers, engineers, project managers, facility services providers, Quantity Surveyors, contractors, surveyors etc.

Criteria

Career profile – (Limit 800 words) – 20% weighting

Outline the entrant’s career profile with a focus on their commitment to ensuring uptake and delivery of ESG principles and reporting within an organisation. This should include their intention to advance the standing, expertise and reputation in the field of their team, organisation and the broader property industry.

Include details such as: 

  • Employment history
  • Examples of how the nominee has been pivotal in development and implementation of ESP principles
  • Internal business contributions and contributions to the industry (eg. Committee / board appointments).

ESG engagement and implementation description– 60% weighting (Limit 1,000 words)

Describe how the entrant has significantly contributed to the broader property industry, including details such as:

  • Visibility of the ESG pillars within the organisation or project
  • Examples of how the nominee has contributed to benchmarking and reporting on ESG within the industry or organisation and driving change to improve ESG outcomes
  • Challenges faced while engaging and how these were overcome to maximise ESG outcomes 
  • Knowledge sharing via published articles, speaking engagements, certificates and media coverage.

Referee/testimonial interview – (20% weighting)

Please provide contact details of ONE industry referee who will support this nomination. Note that external referees may have a greater impact on judges.

Note

Please note nominations MUST be submitted by COB Friday 14 March 2025.

All nominations will go through a strict judging process prior to finalists and winners being selected.

If a sufficient number of applications is not received for any award category, the Property Council reserves the right not to proceed to awarding a winner.
