Yes In My Backyard: Changing mindsets on the pathway to housing abundance

Home Campaigns and Submissions Yes In My Backyard: Changing mindsets on the pathway to housing abundance

Western Australia has fallen behind in the delivery of new homes, and the shortfall is set to increase by a further 25,000 homes by the end of 2027.

Overcoming this challenge is going to need the collective effort of the entire WA community – the state government and private sector can’t do it alone. We must be unequivocal, housing is a community problem, and it requires a community solution.

An overhaul in thinking is needed to help us deliver the homes needed to house every West Australian.
