Victorian Energy Licensing Framework Review submissionThe Property Council has provided feedback to a State Government review of Victoria's energy licensing framework. Our submission highlights a number of regulatory barriers which currently impede the adoption of multi-site energy systems. By discouraging cogeneration project owners from pursuing larger systems, these barriers prevent economies of scale and the most efficient use of cogeneration technologies. The Property Council takes keen interest in improving the frameworks that govern the market operation and regulation of renewable energy systems. In Victoria, we believe there are opportunities in both the scale and number of precincts that can be leveraged to trial and deploy renewable technologies and systems in an integrated manner. Our submission is available below.
