Thank you for the opportunity to make this submission to the Senate Economics Legislation Committee about the Treasury Laws Amendment (Build to Rent) Bill 2024 and the Capital Works (Build to Rent Misuse Tax) Bill 2024 (together, Bills).
Overall, we support Council’s commitment to Affordable Housing and the development of a
policy to support the delivery of affordable housing across the LGA. We support the initiatives in
principle as outlined in the policy and provide these comments relating to the policy below.
