The Queensland Government has announced the release of the expanded Woolloongabba Priority Development Area (PDA).
The expanded PDA will include more of Woolloongabba and the Stanley Street precinct up to South Bank.
Under the expanded PDA, the Gabba Stadium redevelopment will be the anchor of major urban renewal in Woolloongabba and South Bank, and will also deliver dining, retail and housing, including affordable and social housing.
The PDA will deliver a walkable connection between South Bank and the Brisbane CBD via a new green bridge, as well as connect the Cross River Rail and Brisbane Metro. The effect of the expanded PDA will also be that the Gabba Stadium and Brisbane Live Arena will be linked.
The Queensland Government has advised that community consultation will be undertaken in preparation of a development scheme for the expanded PDA. If you would like to read more about the expanded PDA, please click here.
