The Property Council welcomed over 100 attendees to Venue 114 for our Staying on the Sunshine Coast – how to build the hotels and houses we need lunch.
The event examined the dearth of hotels on the Sunshine Coast and the need to provide more of them to fully leverage the economic and tourism opportunities associated with the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
It was revealed that nine large format, full service, internationally branded and operated hotels and an additional five boutique hotels are needed on the Sunshine Coast.
Rodger Powel – Managing Director THSA – Hotel and Tourism Advisors provided the keynote presentation. Following his keynote, Rodger was joined on stage for a panel discussion with Debra Robinson – Acting CEO Sunshine Coast Council and Michael Hurley – Residential Manager ARIA Property Group.
Special thank you to major event sponsor Rider Levett Bucknall for making this event possible.
