RCP Australia has announced that Greg Atkinson will step into the role of Managing Director from 1 July 2024 with Russell Martoo moving into a key role to assist with the transition after 35 years as Managing Director.
In a statement announcing the transition, Russell Martoo said that RCP is well prepared for the Managing Director transition.
“After a long and satisfying career, the business is well-prepared for this change and I have every confidence in Greg’s leadership,” Mr Martoo said.
“We have in place a strong, well-resourced national team and it is impressive to see our pathway development programme producing a high calibre of industry leaders and I am excited to see what’s next for RCP.
An active member of the Property Council’s Queensland Division Councill, Russell has provided strong support to the Property Council’s advocacy and commercial activities.
Property Council of Australia’s Queensland Executive Director Jess Caire thanked Russell Martoo for his work as member of Division Council.
“Russell has been a great contributor to the Property Council through his work on Division Council, I am grateful for the support and guidance he has offered the team and I over the years,” Ms Caire said.
“I’m excited to be continuing the Property Council’s great relationship with RCP as Greg takes the helm.
“I wish Greg all the best as he embarks on this new role and Russell a happy retirement,” she said.
Joining RCP in 2005, Greg Atkinson brings more than 20 years experience in the property and construction industry to the role.
In a statement announcing the transition Greg Atkinson said RCP was primed for future growth.
“As Russell heads off to enjoy his well-earned retirement later this year, he leaves RCP in a great position and primed for further growth,” Mr Atkinson said.
“His considerable expertise and guidance have seen the business flourish.
“RCP is immensely grateful to Russell for his enormous contribution to RCP over many years, professionally and personally,” he said.
