The State Government has proposed the New North Harbour Priority Development Area (PDA) for the City of Moreton Bay.
The PDA is located in Burpengary East and will include up to 3,700 homes once complete.
Under the PDA, 200 homes will be delivered as part of an early release area. This will be followed by more detailed planning that will be undertaken in conjunction with Council, the community and developers.
The PDA is also set to include the development of a new marina and tourism and hotel projects.
Once the PDA is declared, an Interim Land Use Plan (ILUP) will come into effect until the Development Scheme is completed. The ILUP will include the Early Release Area with development applications able to be lodged immediately.
