Modular homes to receive $2.8 billion in state budget

Queensland's upcoming state budget will include $2.8 billion to deliver new modular homes.

On Monday 3 June, the state government announced that this year’s budget would include $2.8 billion in funding to support the delivery of new modular homes as part of the government’s housing ‘big build’.

In partnership with the private sector, the funding will go towards will support the delivery of new modular homes in Bundaberg, Innisfail, Mackay and Warwick as well as other locations throughout regional and remote Queensland.

The funding will go towards supporting the government’s QBuild and the private sector in the delivery of 600 new modular homes.

More details are expected to be revealed when the state budget is released on Tuesday 11 June.
