The Property Council looks forward to hosting future member briefings to provide members with exclusive insight.

Last week Queensland President Bradley Norris hosted a special online briefing to outline the Queensland Division’s priorities and how members can contribute to a thriving property sector in Queensland.

Bradley was joined by Queensland Executive Director Jess Caire and Vice Presidents Michelle Wooldridge (Pikos Management) and Adrian Allen (Stockland).

There has never been a more exciting time to be part of the Queensland property sector, with the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, significant growth opportunities and an insatiable thirst for property across Queensland fueling a positive outlook for our industry.

But while the opportunities are undeniable, so too are the challenges, with ongoing construction and feasibility barriers hampering project delivery. Responding to these challenges will require a collaborative effort across government and industry, with our members critical to driving a positive outcome for the sector.

At the briefing Bradley outlined the Queensland Division’s advocacy strategy and key opportunities to work with the government to facilitate the development of new supply across all property sectors.

This included highlighting priorities under the Property Council five key advocacy pillars:

  • Pillar One | A home for every Queenslander
  • Pillar Two | Welcome the investment Queensland needs
  • Pillar Three | Plan today for the Queensland of tomorrow
  • Pillar Four | Future proof Queensland’s building and construction sector
  • Pillar Five | Deliver iconic Queensland precincts and partnerships

The Property Council looks forward to hosting future briefings in future to provide Property Council members with exclusive insight into the key issues set to shape Queensland’s property sector.
