The Housing legislation Amendment Act 2023 has been passed by Parliament.
The Act amends the Retirement Villages Act 1999 to change financial transparency requirements for retirement villages.
The Property Council has previously provided extensive feedback on these changes which highlighted concern around the additional complexity and cost these changes may entail for retirement villages and residents.
