On Wednesday morning, Deputy Premier Steven Miles, announced more than $285 million available to councils to support the delivery of projects that promote health and wellbeing as well as infrastructure that compliments new housing supply or urban renewal.
Known as the SEQ Liveability Fund, the funding forms part of the SEQ City Deal partnership between the Australian Government, the Queensland Government and the Council of Mayors South East Queensland.
With 2032 drawing ever closer, regional sporting and recreation facilities will also be eligible for funding through the liveability fund.
