The state government has declared the first two new housing projects through the new State Facilitated Development (SFD) pathway.

A 2,750 home proposal in Robina and a 45 home project at Wakerley were the first two projects to be declared through SFD pathway.

The state government had indicated its intention to declare SFDs for 12 sites including those in Robina and Wakerley back in August 2024.

Other projects proposed are spread across South East Queensland including in Forest Lake, Indooroopilly, Lutwyche, Milton, Noosa Heads, Pallara, Redland Bay, Tewantin, Toowoomba and Woolloongabba.
