Brisbane City Council this week introduced a new policy, reducing infrastructure charges on studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments in appropriately zoned locations in across Brisbane.
Eligible studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom developments will see infrastructure charges halved or reduced by up to three quarters depending, while community housing providers can apply to have infrastructure charges waved entirely.
These reductions do not apply to infrastructure charges levied by Urban Utilities and will apply to developments where council infrastructure charges have already been paid.
