This award is only applicable to individual nominations. Team entries are ineligible for this award.

This award will recognise an individual who has been instrumental  in integrating Diversity, Equity & Inclusion into their business, leading to an inclusive workforce and serving as an inspiration to others.

These could include:

1. Training programs in diversity and inclusion for staff

2. An organisational Inclusion and/or Diversity policy

3. Employee access to diversity and inclusion resources (e.g. training materials, an on-line diversity calendar, ebooks or elearning)

4. Community projects that offer opportunities for others inside and outside of the organisation

Criteria

Career Profile – (Limit 800 words) – 30% weighting

Outline the entrant’s career profile with a focus on their commitment to ensuring the uptake of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion principles and reporting within their own organisation. This should include their intention to advance the standing, expertise and reputation in the field of their team, organisation and the broader property industry.

Include details such as: 

  • Employment history
  • Examples of how the nominee has been pivotal in development and implementation of DE&I principles
  • Internal business contributions and contributions to the industry (eg. Committee / board appointments).

DE&I Engagement & Implementation Description – (Limit 1,000 words) – 70% weighting

Describe how the entrant has significantly contributed to the broader property industry, including details such as:

  • Visibility of the DE&I culture within the business
  • Examples of how the nominee has contributed to benchmarking and reporting on DE&I within the business
  • Challenges faced in internal engagement (buy-in) and how these challenges have been overcome
  • Knowledge sharing via published articles, speaking engagements, certificates and media coverage.

Industry referee 

Please provide contact details of ONE industry referee who will support this nomination. Referees will only be called if additional information is required.

Note

Please note nominations MUST be submitted by COB Friday, 14 March 2025.

All nominations will go through a comprehensive judging process prior to finalists and winners being selected.

The judges will be made up from representatives from the Division Council and other senior executives from the Property industry.

The decision of the judging panel is final and no communication will be entered into concerning the final decision.

Finalists will only be contact by the judges for an interview should more information be required to assist in the assessment of your nomination.

If enough applications are not received for any of the award categories, the Property Council reserves the right not to award a winner.
