Finalist come in all shapes and sizes from all over the country, but they all have one thing in common, outstanding design and innovative practices.
Head judge John McCarthy AO said the standard of entry this year was truly outstanding.
“As ever, certain categories were strongly contested, and it’s always difficult, but there’s only one winner,” he said.
“It has been a year of outstanding quality; it is a great tribute to those that entered.”
This year’s awards see the continuation of a 40 years partnership with Rider Levett Bucknall and a brand new category, ‘Award For Best Public Art’.
“I found it particularly rewarding to look at the entries [in this category] and I think it’s an exciting new category,” Mr McCarthy said.
Winners will be announced at the Awards Gala Dinner to be held at the ICC Sydney on Friday 2 September 2022.
