
After six years as CEO of the Investor Group on Climate Change, Emma Herd joins EY, while WSP acquires Golder and ShineWing rebrands to SW.
After six years as chief executive officer of the Investor Group on Climate Change, Emma Herd has landed a role with EY as partner, climate change and sustainability. Herd, who has also held sustainability leadership roles with Westpac, fills the shoes of Matthew Bell who returned to London to lead EY’s UK and Ireland climate change and sustainability services.
WSP has acquired Golder, a global consulting firm with more than 60 years’ experience in providing earth sciences and environmental consulting. The addition of Golder increases WSP’s global workforce by 7,000 people. In Australia and New Zealand, WSP’s numbers swell to around 6,400. Paul Williams, previously WSP’s director of power and resources, will now lead 600 people in the mining and power business group. Scott Fidler, previously regional manager for Golder in Australia and New Zealand, will lead a 1,000-strong Australian earth and environment business group. WSP and Golder had already worked together on Inland Rail in Queensland and Parramatta Light Rail in Sydney, among other projects.
ShineWing Australia has rebranded to SW. An Australian owned accounting and advisory firm with an 80-plus year history, SW operates across Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney and is led by managing director Danny Armstrong. The rebrand coincides with the opening of SW’s new Perth office as the firm continues to expand.
Divvy’s Kat Fowler has been promoted to head of client services after nearly three years managing marketing communications for the smart parking service.
Decode Group has appointed Jason Termytelen as construction manager for its pre-construction team. Termytelen brings 30 years’ experience to the role, including senior roles with Binah, Next and Taylor Construction Group.
Colliers has strengthened its occupier services team with the appointment of Adam Raap as head of client services. Raap was previously the head of operations for the Colliers’ occupier services business from May 2016 to May 2018. Since then he has been based in Dubai working with IWG, WeWork and more recently with Cushman and Wakefield in an account management role for Australasia, Middle East, India, Africa, and the Eastern Mediterranean regions.
Tim O’Neill has joined property investment firm Sentinel Group in the newly created senior management position of chief property officer. O’Neill has previously held senior roles with QIC and Lendlease, and was previously a national director and Queensland president of the Property Council. O’Neill’s most recent role was with Economic Development Queensland.
Industry veteran John Forrest has joined commercial interior design firm Unispace as a global board advisor. Forrest spent nearly three decades with JLL, where he served as global corporate solutions CEO. His appointment follows recent appointments of Steve Quick as global CEO and Michael Casolo as global chief revenue officer in September. Unispace was acquired by multinational private equity firm PAG earlier this year.
