Long-serving executive director of ASBEC, Suzanne Toumbourou, will lead the Australian Council of Recycling, Greg Lapham joins Savills Investment Management, CI Australia appoints James Michail and Plenary Group bolsters its team.

The Australian Sustainable Built Environment Council is on the hunt for a new executive director, following Suzanne Toumbourou’s appointment as chief executive officer of the Australian Council of Recycling. Toumbourou, who joined ASBEC in 2012, will conclude her tenure at the end of June. ASBEC president Professor Ken Maher AO says Toumbourou has guided numerous projects of “impact and influence” including the delivery of the Built to perform report. This had informed the COAG Energy Council’s ‘Trajectory for Low Energy Buildings’, “paving a cross-jurisdictional pathway for net zero buildings in Australia,” Maher says. Alison Scotland, former senior stakeholder engagement manager at Standards Australia, will step into Toumbourou’s shoes as interim executive director until a permanent appointment is announced later in the year.
