Victor Hoog Antink, former National President, Property Council of Australia

A handful of property professionals have been recognised for their community work within a list of 1,047 Australians.

Victor Hoog Antink was one of those recognised with a Member of the Order of Australia (AM). The former CEO of the Dexus Property Group, and former National President of the Property Council of Australia said it was an honour to be recognised for his contribution to the property industry and to corporate governance.

“I am very humbled to be recognised in this way, but I know that this award is also a reflection of all the hard work of many others in various organisations I have been privileged to be a part of, such as Property Council of Australia, Property Industry Foundation, Dexus and Westfield,” he said.

While he retired in 2012, he has over 40 years of worldwide property and financial expertise, including over eight years as the Director of Funds Management at Westfield, where he was responsible for administering Australia’s two biggest property trusts, The Westfield Trust and Westfield America Trust.

He has also served as Chairman of South Bank Corporation, a member of Bond University’s Council, Chairman of the Bond University Business School Board of Advisors, Director of Sands China, and Director of the Property Industry Foundation.

Property Council Queensland Executive Director Jen Williams paid tribute to Victor.

“While Victor may have formally retired a decade ago, he remains actively involved in the property industry and is a regular attendee at Property Council events in Queensland,” she said.

“An avid collector of Olympic torches, Victor has generously lent the Property Council some of his highly valuable collection to help theme our Brisbane 2032 events.”
