Property industry digs deep for bushfire relief and recovery

  • January 28, 2020

The bushfires have taken a devastating toll on life, livelihoods, communities, livestock and wildlife in Australia. Australia’s property industry is contributing to bushfire relief and recovery in a variety of ways through financial and in-kind support.

“Our thoughts are with our fellow Australians who have been affected by the unprecedented bushfire disaster, as well as those who have been on the frontline fighting the fires and providing support to affected communities,” says the Property Council’s chief executive, Ken Morrison.

“It is heartening to see how our industry has joined with the rest of the community to extend support to their fellow Australians and our communities which have been affected.

“Our members have stepped forward to help by providing people, places and resources, and will continue to be there for the long process of recovery and reconstruction.

“We will be closely engaged with government and those leading the reconstruction effort to direct our support to where it is most needed and can be most effective,” Mr Morrison said.

More information on how to support these recovery efforts, including the opportunity to make donations, will be showcased at the upcoming series of events around Australia for the launch of the Office Market Report.
