Premium address at Brisbane’s Portside

  • March 01, 2021

Brookfield Residential Properties is moving ahead with the next stage of the $1.3 billion Portside Wharf community on the Brisbane River at Hamilton, after receiving approval for a $141 million residential development.

  Why we love this project:

  • The 19-level building will enjoy 50 metres of absolute Brisbane riverfront, the last of its kind in Northshore Hamilton
  • The $141 million building will boast an infinity-edge pool with views across the Brisbane River to the CBD, a private function room with kitchen and bar, a residents’ lounge, wine cellar and boardroom
  • The development will feature 150 one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom apartments, sub-penthouses and two ultra-opulent penthouses, with commanding 270 degree views.

Portside is the first stage of Brisbane’s $5 billion urban renewal project, the Northshore Hamilton Priority Development Area. On completion, Northshore Hamilton will extend 2.5 kilometres along the Brisbane River across 304 hectares.

Portside is just six kilometres from Brisbane CBD and easily accessible via a short stroll along the boardwalk to the City Cat, by bus or major arterial roads.

Brookfield Residential Properties’ has already delivered more than 850 luxury riverside apartments at Portside East. The new building will be its ninth in the precinct, and will be developed on a 2,829sqm site. Neighbouring Gallery House One and Two have achieved more than $238 million in sales since launch.

Lee Butterworth, Brookfield Residential Properties’ managing director, is confident in the strength of the Brisbane market and is working towards launching the new apartments later this year.

“The opportunities to secure an absolute riverfront apartment that can never be built-out, in a sought-after, blue-chip location such as this, are few and far between,” Butterworth says.

“When you couple that with the unrivalled lifestyle on offer at Portside, this new building will be a true stand-out and, as a result, we are confident it will be met with significant interest.”

Butterworth says Brookfield Residential Properties expects to “draw significant interest from empty-nesters looking to right-size in a premium lifestyle location right through to young professionals who want a home that delivers the perfect work-life balance”.

Northshore Hamilton’s range of amenities complement Portside Wharf, with the recently completed $10 million Hamilton Recreation Reserve conveniently located close by, featuring extensive green space, a children’s playground, amphitheatre, picnic areas, a dog park and water play facilities.
