Real estate journalist Helen Shield joins the Property Council in WA. Jordan Lee and Andy Hu will lead Savills Asia markets team. Michael Rabey takes on Boyuan Holdings while Herron Todd White CEO Brendon Hulcombe moves to CBRE.
Respected real estate journalist Helen Shield is the Property Council’s new senior policy and communications advisor in Western Australia. Shield has worked daily metropolitan newspapers, including The Age, The Courier Mail and The Herald Sun, as a writer, section editor, production editor and sub-editor for more than two decades. Shield was most recently commercial property editor at The West Australian.
Jordan Lee and Andy Hu will head up Savills Australia’s new Asia markets team, based in Sydney. Lee moves across from Colliers International, where he’s spent the last eight years working in Asian markets and investment services. Hu has spent the last six years at Knight Frank, with another four at Drake Property. Lee and Hu will be joint state directors focused on the sub $100 million market, connecting Asian Capital with Australian assets. Kelly Li will also join the team, having worked closely with Hu for four years at Knight Frank as a data analyst and personal assistant. Li will oversee the team’s daily operations.
Brendon Hulcombe will lead CBRE’s Pacific valuation and advisory services business. Hulcombe departs property valuation firm Herron Todd White after 16 years with the firm, 13 of those as chief executive officer. Hulcombe’s appointment follows Tom Edwards’ promotion to global head of CBRE valuation and advisory services alongside his existing Asia Pacific leadership role. Herron Todd White has appointed current general counsel and company secretary, Jacqui Bayles, as acting CEO while the search for Hulcombe’s replacement begins. Bayles has five years with Herron Todd White under her belt.
Michael Rabey has joined property group Boyuan Holdings Limited as general manager of its seniors and lifestyle living division. Rabey was recently most recently chief operating officer of AEH Retirement Living. He is also chair of the Property Council’s NSW Retirement Living Committee and a member of the NSW division council.
Allhomes has appointed a new general manager. Danielle Harmer joined the Canberra-based property website in 2016 as head of product. She has previously held roles with IBM, The New York Times and Fairfax.
