Peter Tompkins takes the reins at Spotless Group, Architectus appoints Marina Carroll and Marko Damic as principals and CoreLogic appoints Geoff White as national head of real estate.

360x360 People on the Move Peter Tompkins (pictured left) has taken the reins at Spotless Group as chief executive officer and managing director, following the resignation of Dana Nelson. Nelson joined Spotless in 2010, was appointed chief operating officer in 2015 and CEO in August 2017 following Downer Group’s takeover of Spotless. Nelson will work with Spotless over the next six months on integration and transition. Tompkins has been general counsel and company secretary for Downer since 2008. Prior to this, he was a senior associate at Corrs Chambers Westgarth, and a lawyer with Cridlands MB Lawyers and Rigby Cooke Lawyers.

Architectus has two new principals. Marina Carroll, formerly a senior associate, joined the practice in 2012 and has worked on education projects for Macquarie University, University of Melbourne and Monash University. After 11 years with Bates Smart, Marko Damic has also moved to Architectus. Damic specialises in the design and delivery of high and medium rise multi-unit residential developments, commercial, mixed use, infrastructure and education projects. The two appointments follow a period of growth for Architectus with Sydney skyscraper 505 George Street and the Rail Infrastructure Alliance for Melbourne Metro Project, two recent major projects awarded.

CoreLogic has appointed a new national head of real estate. Geoff White has been CoreLogic’s group sales director since 2017, and previously headed up the Real Estate Institute of Victoria. CoreLogic has more than 7,000 real estate clients nationally.

Knight Frank Australia’s asset management services team is expanding, with new hires appointed to its senior team. Ben Nicholson joins from Dexus to take on the position of director. Nicholson was with Dexus for nearly three years as commercial and retail manager for Australia Square. Prior to this, he was with The GPT Group and JLL.

Meanwhile, Kellie von Bergheim has been appointed partner and head of asset management services for Knight Frank in Western Australia. On von Bergheim’s CV are stints with Vicinity Centres, Centro Properties Group and Federation Centres in various retail management and marketing roles. Jeremy Robotham has joined the national team as partner, asset management services for Australia. Robotham has worked for major national property businesses including The GPT Group, Centuria Capital and AMP Capital.

Ian Lomas has joined Woods Bagot as a principal and Sydney design leader. Lomas, who has held partnership and design leader roles at MAKE Architects, Kohn Pedersen Fox and Foster + Partners, played a key role in the reconstruction of the symbolic Reichstag in Berlin, the reinstatement of the historic grids and heritage structures a London Wall Place and a series of major retail projects throughout Harrods’ flagship London store.
