Design consultancy Conybeare Morrison welcomes Carolyn Mitchell as practice director. Arcadis has a new CEO, Malcolm McDowall, in the Asia Pacific and Aurecon appoints a global water markets leader.

360x360 People on the Move Carolyn Mitchell Design consultancy Conybeare Morrison International, or CM+, has welcomed Carolyn Mitchell (pictured left) as practice director. Mitchell, who recently oversaw the studio at Mirvac Design, has previously held leadership positions at Scott Carver and Woods Bagot. She joins CM+ as the practice shifts towards a new corporate structure following eight key staff appointments in 2018. Appointments include: Richard Nugent, elevated to design director; associate director for architecture, Michael Morony; and Ranti Ng, who moves into the new role of group chief financial officer.

Arcadis has appointed long-serving leader Malcolm McDowall (pictured below) as its chief executive officer for the Asia Pacific. McDowall, who has been with Arcadis for 360x360 Malcom more than 18 years, takes over from Greg Steele, who recently look on the job of group executive for Arcadis across the Asia Pacific. McDowell has held various leadership positions and was acting CEO during the recruitment process.

Kevin Werksman, previously a partner with EY, has joined Aurecon as global water markets leader. Werksman will be based in Canberra and will build the firm’s presence in global markets.

CBRE has expanded its presence in the NSW hotel and leisure market with the appointment of James Carrick. As senior manager, Carrick will focus on hotel and leisure assets in major NSW regions and on Australia’s east coast. He has spent the past six years with Resort Brokers Australia.

Andrew Wilson, current chief executive of TSA Management, will be heading up a new partnership with New Zealand project management firm Xigo. The partnership marks TSA’s first step outside of Australia. TSA now draws on a network of 250 project managers across two countries and eight offices.

Sarah Slattery, managing director of Slattery, has announced a new global collaboration with London-based quantity surveying firm, alinea.

Stuart Worn has joined Andrew Reay and Scott Jukes as a director of urban design, surveying and subdivision firm, Lyssna Group. Worn, who was with Veris, formerly Bosco Jonson, for two years, was also a senior advisor in the Victorian Government and the executive director of the Planning Institute’s Victorian division.
