Angela Skandarajah will lead Development Victoria, Dexus’ Paul Wall has been appointed inaugural chief executive of the Australian Passive House Association and Woods Bagot has a new leader for rail, Paul Rea.
After 10 months acting in the top job, Angela Skandarajah has been appointed chief executive officer of Development Victoria, a new organisation that brings together Places Victoria and Major Projects Victoria. Skandarajah was most recently Development Victoria’s general counsel and was a partner and the national head of Minter Ellison’s real estate, environment and planning practice. Development Victoria is currently working on 45 projects including the redevelopment of Melbourne Park, the Melbourne Arts Precinct and State Library Victoria, the development of the new GovHub in Ballarat, precinct renewal at Docklands and Fishermans Bend.
Paul Wall has been appointed inaugural chief executive of the Australian Passive House Association. Wall, most recently head of group sustainability and energy at Dexus, also plans to pursue a new consultancy business in engineering, operations and capital works. Rob Sims, Dexus sustainability manager, will take on some of Wall’s responsibilities, as will David Yates, executive general manager investor relations, communications and sustainability.
Woods Bagot Australia has appointed a new leader for rail, Paul Rea. With a 25-year career under his belt, Rea has worked on high profile rail and metro projects, including King’s Cross Station in London and Melbourne Metro.
Michael Montelibano has been appointed director of capital markets and investment services for Colliers International in Canberra. Montelibano has worked for some of the world’s most recognisable names, including Deutsche Bank, Arthur Andersen and Jones Lang LaSalle. Since 2013, Montelibano has held senior positions with Ayala Corporation, the Philippines’ largest corporation.
CBRE has made five key appointments to its building, depreciation and cost consultancy team. Peter Guerra has joined the team from Napier & Blakeley as an associate director in the depreciation division, while Andrew Hudson commences as a director of cost consulting. Daniel Walsh, Eamonn Curran and Gordon Dalgleish all join the team and will be based in Brisbane. The expansion enhances CBRE’s comprehensive suite of transaction and construction cost services.
