Rob Garling takes the top job at construction company Decode, industry veterans Mark Witheriff and Tania Moore return to CBRE and ClarkeHopkinsClarke Architects makes four promotions.
Rob Garling has been appointed as the new managing director of diversified construction company Decode. Previous managing director Sam El Rihani has now stepped into the role of chairman. Garling, who has been working with Decode in a consulting role for the past year, brings more than 40 years’ experience to the business. He previously held Managing Director positions at Next, Parkview and Taylor.
Industry veterans Mark Witheriff and Tania Moore have returned to CBRE’s Gold Coast business. Witheriff has rejoined as Gold Coast managing director while Moore is senior director for office leasing. Both return after a stint at Knight Frank. David Corke, who has led CBRE’s Gold Coast office recently as director in charge, will continue to play a senior role. Witheriff started his career at CBRE’s Gold Coast office when it opened in the late 1980s while Moore had a 14-year career with CBRE’s office leasing team. The pair are joined by former Knight Frank colleague and senior property manager Nyree Lawson.
ClarkeHopkinsClarke Architects has promoted four members of its Melbourne studio. Senior architect Thu Le, formerly a team leader, brings masterplanning and mixed-use experience to her new role in the firm’s health sector. New associates Nick Webb (seniors living and care) and Janice Tan and Kai Cheong (multi-residential) are currently working on residential and mixed use projects throughout Victoria.
