Kylie O’Connor will head AMP Capital’s real estate business, William Power takes up a full-time role leading the NSW Department of Planning’s COVID response and the International WELL Building Institute makes changes.

AMP Capital has promoted Kylie O’Connor to lead its real estate business.  O’Connor is currently AMP Capital Real Estate’s chief operating officer and managing director of separate accounts and replaces Carmel Hourigan, who is moving to Charter Hall to head up its office division. O’Connor, who joined the company in 2015 as a fund manager, will lead the team managing more than $28 billion of commercial real estate on behalf of institutional and retail investors. Prior to AMP Capital, O’Connor roles with Lendlease and Arthur Andersen. Luke Briscoe will take on the role of COO for real estate, reporting to O’Connor. Briscoe has held the position of managing director of office and logistics for the past five years.

Chairman and CEO of the International WELL Building Institute, Rick Fedrizzi, will extend his full-time role for an additional term as executive chairman from November. IWBI president Rachel Gutter will take on the additional role of CEO. Prateek Khanna, IWBI’s current executive vice president of operations and technology, will become chief operating officer. Fedrizzi was co-founder and CEO of the US Green Building Council. IWBI recently announced that more than 100 organisations and real estate portfolios, including the Empire State Building, Uber, JLL and Lendlease, have signed up for a new rating to prepare their spaces for re-entry in a post COVID-19 environment.

Construction company Eastern Pacific has welcomed Shane Strong as head of new business and strategy. Strong, who brings 20 years of experience to the firm, most recently drove new business efforts with Infinity Constructions Group. He’s also held roles with Taylor and operated Strongbuild for eight years.
