Greg Hyland to head up CBRE’s capital markets team, CI Australia appoints John Bowie Wilson and Gary Brinkworth takes on the top job at Herron Todd White.

Greg Hyland has joined CBRE as managing director of capital markets for the Asia Pacific. Hyland was most recently head of capital markets in Singapore for JLL. He also held other executive roles at JLL, including regional director of Asia capital markets in Singapore and head of investment in Shanghai. Over the past five years, Hyland has advised on more than US$10 billion of real estate transactions.

Property services and strategic advisory firm CI Australia has bolstered its capital transactions division with the appointment of John Bowie Wilson as director. Bowie Wilson joins the firm from Knight Frank, where he was a partner and director of city sales since 2011. He brings a strong track record, having brokered more than $1 billion in the Sydney commercial market over the last 24 months. Bowie Wilson began his career in office leasing at Savills and also spent seven years at Colliers International.

Property valuation and advisory firm Herron Todd White has a new CEO. Gary Brinkworth, currently CEO of United Petroleum, and will step into the shoes of acting CEO Jacqui Bayles in early 2020. Bayles will resume her responsibilities as company secretary and general counsel member.

Robin Mellon has joined Better Building Finance, part of Sustainable Australia Fund, as part-time NSW program advisor. Mellon will connect councils, lenders and businesses to make sustainability improvements to buildings. Mellon was previously chief executive officer of the Supply Chain Sustainability School and a long-time executive director and COO at the Green Building Council of Australia.

Susan Anderson has been appointed Uber’s regional general manager for North Asia, which expands her existing role as regional general manager Australia and New Zealand. She will now be responsible for Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Anderson previously worked at Bain & Company and Amazon.

Knight Frank’s occupier services team has received a boost with two new recruits. Together, Dave Chalmers and John Clarke have more than 60 years’ combined experience. They most recently headed up agency PD Corp, providing bespoke advice to large corporate tenants.
