Frasers Property Australia promotes Anthony Boyd to chief financial officer, RetireAustralia appoints Dr Brett Robinson as its new CEO and Lyall Gorman steps into the spotlight at Evolve Housing.

Frasers Property Australia has announced a series of internal promotions in its executive team. Anthony Boyd (pictured, right), currently executive general manager responsible for residential, will become chief financial officer on 1 June.Body POTM cropped Boyd joined the developer when it was still Australand in 2005 as group financial controller. Cameron Leggatt, currently general Manager of residential in Queensland, will step into Anthony Boyd’s shoes. Current CFO, Matt Knox, who has been on secondment supporting the Frasers Property Europe business since August last year, will now take up a permanent position with the global Frasers Property Limited group. Knox joined Frasers Property in 2007 and was appointed CFO in 2014.

RetireAustralia has appointed a new CEO, Dr Brett Robinson, to replace Alison Quinn. Robinson has more than 15 years of diverse executive leadership experience in healthcare, sport and financial services businesses. Most recently, he was CEO of financial services company BOQ Specialist. Prior to this, Robinson, who has a medical degree, led Australia’s largest private provider of integrated cancer care, Icon Cancer Care. Interim CEO Anthony Heald returns to his role as general manager of people, culture and technology.

Lyall Gorman replaces Andrea Galloway as managing director and CEO of community housing provider Evolve Housing. Gorman has spent the last decade leading football clubs, most recently as CEO of the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles. He also holds several non-executive roles including deputy president of the NSW Business Chamber, chairman of the Parramatta Parklands Trust and is a director of Cricket NSW.

Tony Watson joins the Sustainable Future Group as a partner to drive its global expansion into emerging markets. Watson spent nearly five years driving sustainability at the Barangaroo Delivery Authority before working for professional services companies Mott MacDonald and, most recently, WSP where he was national infrastructure sustainability lead for Australian and New Zealand. He also formerly been the head of infrastructure and sustainability at Barangaroo.

After two-and-a-half years as the director of partnerships with the Committee for Sydney, Victoria Black is taking on a new role at WSP Australia and New Zealand and will be responsible for clients and partnerships. Black was previously the strategic marketing manager at SMART Infrastructure Facility at the University of Wollongong, one of the largest research institutions in the world helping governments and businesses better plan for the future.

Canberra-based developer Geocon has a new director of customer experience. Kat Krikorian has nearly 15 years’ experience in finance and is the founder of Canberra’s LinkedIn Local Canberra network event. Geocon was recently named the Property Council’s GHD 2019 Business of the Year int he ACT for its contribution to the Canberra economy over the last five years.
