Long-time Vicinity Centres executive, James Douglas, will lead CBRE’s retail capital markets. Logistics platform ESR Australia appoints three new general managers. And Geoff Warn winds up as Western Australian government architect.
Vicinity Centres senior executive James Douglas joins CBRE next month as senior national director for retail capital markets Pacific. The appointment strengthens CBRE’s Asia Pacific capabilities in major retail and mixed-use asset transactions following the recent recruitment of Simon Rooney to run CBRE’s retail capital markets business. During his 12 years with Vicinity, Douglas was involved in more than $14 billion of property transactions, including the $1 billion asset swap with GIC, through which Vicinity acquired an interest in Sydney’s Queen Victoria Building.
Logistics real estate platform ESR Australia has established a new state-based management team, with three new general managers, as its pipeline of projects in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland grows. Leading the team in NSW is Scott Falvey, who joined ESR Australia last year as senior development manager after three years with Stockland and 13 with Goodman Group. Simon Sayers takes on the Victorian general manager role after spending several years in Dubai as a development director. Craig Robertson has joined ESR Australia in Queensland after working in industrial and commercial sales, leasing and development, including 13 years with Dexus.
After eight years as chairman and managing director of real estate agency PRD Nationwide, Tony Brasier has passed the baton to Todd Hadley. Joining PRD in 2005, Hadley has been national franchise director since 2015. Brasier will remain chairman.
Savills Australia has appointed Seann Cash as associate director of office leasing, based in the Sydney office. Cash brings five years’ experience at Knight Frank, including a stint in residential sales and leasing in London.
Geoff Warn has wound up his time as government architect in Western Australia after seven years. A string of high-profile projects has been completed during Warn’s time at the helm, including the Shenton Park Hospital redevelopment, Optus Stadium and the New Museum for WA.
