Sarah Constructions chief executive Adrian Esplin steps into Steve Maras’ shoes as the Property Council’s president in South Australia. Ross Harvey will lead WSP’s NSW structures team, while Roadswest Engineering Group joins SMEC.

Steve Maras has handed over the Property Council presidency in South Australia to Adrian Esplin, chief executive of Sarah Constructions. Esplin is a civil engineer and licensed builder with two decades’ experience in the construction industry. He spent 15 years with Brookfield Multiplex as a regional director. Maras, managing director and CEO of the Maras Group, was president for nearly five years. “Passing the baton to Adrian Esplin is a giant step in the right direction as I know he will serve our industry with pride and distinction,” Maras says. “In these most difficult and hard days ahead, we stand united as one to beat this beast and look ahead to much brighter days.” Esplin will be supported by vice presidents Nick Emmett, managing director at Emmett Property and Freddy Bartlett, managing director at ICAM.

Ross Harvey has moved from WSP’s London office to lead its NSW structures team in Sydney. Harvey has led engineering teams in several high-profile London developments, including Principal Tower with Fosters + Partners and 22 Bishopsgate tower with PLP, along with a range of projects in the Middle East.
