William Power, the Property Council’s deputy executive director in NSW, has taken leave without pay to undertake a three-month role as executive director of COVID-19 response (stakeholder engagement) at the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment. Power will work closely with industry to facilitate and implement the NSW Government’s planning response to the coronavirus crisis. Adina Cirson, the Property Council’s executive director in the ACT, has agreed to take on additional responsibilities to manage advocacy across NSW and the ACT. This arrangement will provide an integrated approach to the delivery of advocacy services across the NSW and ACT  

Atlas Advisors Australia has expanded its investment capability with the addition of two former executive directors from Macquarie Group. Arthur Porter joins Atlas’s senior ranks as executive director real estate and Craig Swanger as head of advisory board financial products. Porter spent 14 years at Macquarie Group where he formed and led the United States real estate structured finance group. For the past 12 years he has been the head of FACS Real Estate Finance and Consulting Services. Swanger was formerly Macquarie’s global chief investment officer for banking and financial services and was responsible for US$10 billion in property, infrastructure and alternative investment funds. The firm’s head of venture capital Geoff Waring has also taken on a new role on the executive committee of university-led investment fund Uniseed. 

Richard Lloyd has joined Vaughan Constructions as senior business development manager at its new Brisbane office. Lloyd has previously worked with integrated services provider Downer, building and engineering firm FKG Group, and mining services provider Thiess. He also played a key role in the $50 million helicopter hangar project at the Oakey Army Aviation Centre. 

Ryan Farrow has been appointed to the role of senior researcher, Housing at NHFIC, the National Housing Finance and Investment Corporation. Farrow was with the Property Council for eight years, most recently as senior research analyst.
