Barry Aarons, Chief Operating Officer and a key contributor to Architectus, has retired after 15 years of helping to steer the practice through a period of sustained growth, in addition to leading operations and serving as a Board Director.

MaxCap Group, a leading Australian real estate investment management, announced the hiring of seasoned commercial real estate professional Rob Hattersley as Group Head of Capital.
He will oversee MaxCap’s Money team, which will be in charge of raising capital for MaxCap’s current funds and mandates, as well as collaborating with MaxCap’s Investment team to generate capital for future products including both debt and equity investments.
Hattersley has worked in the Australian real estate and investment management industries for over 30 years. He was previously the Chief Investment Officer for AMP Capital’s Real Estate segment. Prior to joining AMP, Rob worked with Lendlease for almost 21 years, the final six of which he served as Group Chief Investment Officer. He was in charge of managing capital partnerships, raising equity, and lowering product and investor risk for the Lendlease Group and its joint venture partners at Lendlease. He had served on the Lendlease Real Estate Investment Trustee Board for more than ten years. He was a Director of Investments at Mirvac for almost a decade before to joining Lendlease.
Joe Fitzpatrick has been appointed as the new leader of Pembroke’s Australian portfolio and commercial operations. As the new Regional Director of Australia, he is in charge of Pembroke’s asset management and development efforts on a local level, as well as developing business growth possibilities and overseeing Pembroke’s local staff.
Principal Richard Weinman has joined Hayball. Weinman has over 25 years of international and local architectural expertise, having led a wide range of projects throughout Australia’s east coast.
Jasmin Williamson, long time senior leader in the much-celebrated practice John Wardle Architects has been appointed as partner.

Killeen has over 14 years of expertise in office leasing and asset management, most recently leading The GPT Group’s Victorian office leasing and strategy. He joined GPT in 2016 and has overseen some of the largest CBD office purchases in recent years, amid adverse office market conditions.
Rebecca Jinks has been appointed as the new director of ESG and sustainability at Taronga Ventures, a venture capital and private equity firm. She has worked for Cushman & Wakefield for over a decade, most recently as the head of sustainability and ESG in Asia Pacific at the world’s largest real estate services organisation.
Matthew Hyatt has left MRA Consulting Group to become Bingo Industries’ head of sustainability. He served a variety of positions at the company, most recently as the NSW strategy and commercial team head.
