Mirvac Group announced the appointment of Campbell Hanan as its next Group CEO & Managing Director.

Mr Hanan has been a member of the Executive Leadership Team since he joined Mirvac in 2016 and he currently serves as the Head of Mirvac’s Integrated Investment Portfolio.

Mr Hanan will take up this appointment from early March 2023, succeeding Susan LloydHurwitz, who announced on 11 October 2022 her intention to retire from the Group on 30 June 2023.

In addition to his six years at Mirvac, Campbell has 29 years of experience in the property and funds management industry, 12 of which were with Investa Office, where he served in several senior positions, including as CEO.

Vicinity Centres announced the retirement plan of its CEO and Managing Director, Grant Kelley. After more than five years in the role, Mr Kelley will retire from Vicinity by 30 June 2023, to facilitate a smooth and coordinated transition to his successor.

Vicinity will commence a search for Mr Kelley’s replacement which will comprise both internal and external candidates from Australia and internationally.

Chris Chapple has started as the new ISPT CEO. He brings over 25 years of property industry experience to the role. Most recently he was CEO of 151 Property and, before that, held senior roles at Charter Hall, as well as time at JLL and Multiplex.

Growthpoint Properties Australia announced that Geoff Tomlinson will retire from his position as Director and Chair of the Board of Growthpoint Properties Australia Limited, effective 1 March 2023.

Andrew Fay will join the Growthpoint Board as an independent Non-Executive Director, effective 1 December 2022. Following a transitional period to allow for an orderly succession, Mr Fay will become Chair of the Board on Mr Tomlinson’s retirement.

Mecone has welcomed Chris Shannon as a Director of Planning in the Western Sydney practice.

He brings over 23 years’ experience in statutory, strategic and infrastructure planning and development advisory. He previously worked as the Manager Strategic Planning at Blacktown City Council where he led city planning strategies, local planning of the North West Growth Area and town centre urban renewal projects.
