Cushman & Wakefield has appointed Tony Iuliano, who has joined to lead its Industrial & Logistics platform across Australia and New Zealand as International Director – Head of Industrial & Logistics ANZ.
He is joined by Adrian Rowse, National Director – Industrial & Logistics, Capital Markets, ANZ.
Cushman & Wakefield also announced the promotions of James Young and Gordon Marsden as Head of Investor Services, APAC & EMEA and Head of Capital Markets, Asia Pacific respectively.
Abacus Group announced the appointment of Sally Herman as a Non-Executive Director to the Abacus Group Board.
She joins the Board bringing a wealth of expertise across property, financial services, retail and manufacturing sectors as a non-executive director. Prior to that she had a successful executive career, including 16 years with the Westpac Group in both Australia and the United States of America, running various operating divisions.
Ms Herman sits on both listed and not-for-profit boards, including Suncorp Group Limited, Premier Investments Limited, Breville Group Limited, Art Gallery of NSW Trust and Sydney Film Festival. She is also a member of Chief Executive Women.
Sally will stand for election as a director at the next Annual General Meeting in 2023.
Knight Frank has made a key appointment to its Asset Management Services (AMS) team, which will enable the business to provide a new offering.
Michael Marshall has joined the global property consultancy as Head of Asset Management Advisory, Australia.
He has joined Knight Frank from AMP Capital, where he was in the role of National Operations Manager, responsible for the day-to-day operation of over 25 shopping centres.
Susan Lloyd–Hurwitz will lead the Albanese Government’s interim National Housing Supply and Affordability Council.
Ms Lloyd-Hurwitz will be joined on the interim Council by Housing Choices Australia’s Managing Director and former Community Housing Industry Association Chair Michael Lennon, who will bring his extensive background in the not-for-profit community housing sector to the role of Deputy Chair.
The pair will be joined by interim Board members:
- Professor Rachel ViforJ, a prominent housing economist and member of the Steering Committee for the Asia-Pacific Network for Housing Research;
- Helen Waters Silvia, CEO of the Women’s and Girls’ Emergency Centre, a specialist homelessness service for women and families escaping domestic violence;
- Dr Marcus Spiller, a highly regarded urban economist and planner, and former member of the National Housing Supply Council; and
- David O’Loughlin, Urban Renewal Authority Director and former President of the Australian Local Government Association.
The interim National Housing Supply and Affordability Council will commence on January 1st and is intended to operate until the Council is established permanently in legislation.
The Albanese Government has finalised an interim board for Infrastructure Australia as the organisation moves to a new governance structure.
Gabrielle Trainor AO will be appointed as Acting Chair of Infrastructure Australia, and Clare Gardiner–Barnes will be appointed as an Acting Board member.
Ms Trainor has extensive board experience in the public and private sectors. She served on the IA board from 2014-2021 and is currently Chair of the Construction Industry Culture Taskforce.
Existing Board members who are state and territory nominated appointments, Mark Balnaves, John Fitzgerald and Marion Fulker, will also be reappointed as acting Board members.
These appointments are for a period of up to 12 months, or less if there is an earlier transition to the new governance arrangements.
