Marni Lawson has joined Burgess Rawson as its new national Head of Asset Management to be based in Melbourne.

Her career spans almost two decades at CBRE managing the Victorian ING Industrial portfolio, Airservices Australia and most recently as Head of Property for Lawson Real Estate.

Goodman Group has appointed Sydney-based Belinda Robson, as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Goodman and Goodman Funds Management. Her appointment will be effective from 1 March 2023 following Rebecca McGrath’s retirement on 28 February 2023.

Knight Frank has appointed a Head of Occupier Strategy and Solutions, Australia. Neil Murray will join the firm in the role, based in Knight Frank’s Sydney office. He has more than 30 years’ experience and demonstrated success in property after starting his career at Knight Frank as a cadet in 1990, in the firm’s Parramatta office.

Charter Keck Cramer announced David Morton has been appointed to the newly created role of National Valuations Manager.

Cushman & Wakefield has announced two key leadership appointments as part of its ongoing commitment to improved sustainability outcomes for its clients and the built environment.

Matthew Clifford has been announced as Head of Sustainability & ESG, Asia Pacific. Based in Sydney, Mr Clifford will drive the business’s sustainability strategy within the region, leading a team of 60-plus sustainability and environment, social and governance (ESG) professionals providing advisory, certification, reporting and disclosure, and asset optimization services for investor and occupier clients.

Clifford will also chair the Asia Pacific Sustainability & ESG Operations Committee and joins from JLL.

Andrew Phipps has been announced as Global Head of Sustainability Thought Leadership. Mr Phipps, who is based in London, previously led the marketing and research functions for EMEA. In his new role, he will be responsible for driving the firm’s sustainability and ESG research and thought leadership proposition and output.

JLL has bolstered its Property & Asset Management team in Sydney with a key strategic new appointment.

Dion Baker joins JLL Australia’s Property and Asset Management team as Director of the NSW Retail Portfolio overseeing premium retail assets under management, based in Sydney.

The City of Brisbane Investment Corporation (CBIC), Brisbane’s urban wealth fund announced the appointment of Simone Desmarchelier as its new Board Chair.

With more than 25 years’ experience with real estate and investment funds in Australia, UK and Europe, including previous work with other sovereign wealth funds, Ms Desmarchelier now takes on the role of leading CBIC through its next phase of growth.

Aruna Hicks has joined JLL’s WA team as a new Property Manager for the Central Park Perth building.
