Colliers has strengthened its position as a global leader in hotel brokerage and transaction support services by appointing Julian Whiston as National Director of Hotel Investment Sales.

Julian will be headquartered in Brisbane and will report to Gus Moors, Colliers’ Head of Hotels.

Colliers has also appointed Carrington Wroe as Director, to lead the REMS Facilities Management team in the ACT.

JLL has named Nathan Taylor as the new Managing Director of its Australasia Work Dynamics business division, succeeding Ben Tindale, who is leaving the firm after 17 years.

Taylor will manage the teams in Australia and New Zealand to provide corporate real estate services and strengthen client connections. Across JLL’s business, he has held global, regional, and Australasian responsibilities for almost 25 years. Taylor and his family are returning to Sydney from Singapore.

Adrian Pozzo has been appointed Chair of Green Building Council of Australia, taking over from Susan LloydHurwitz as the organisation resets its strategic focus.

Susan Lloyd-Hurwitz has been on the GBCA Board for 9 years including 3 years as Chair, and will finish her full term on the Board in November 2022.

Unispace, a global strategy, design, and construction firm creating people-centric spaces, announced the appointment of Simon Pole to lead Downstream Unispace for the Australia & New Zealand region as Principal, Experience Strategy. Downstream is an experiential design firm acquired by Unispace in October 2021.

Lendlease announced the appointment of Ann Soo Chan (“Margaret Lui”) to the Lendlease Board as an independent non-executive director, effective 1 December 2022. Lui will stand for election at Lendlease’s Annual General Meeting on 17 November 2023.

Based in Singapore, Lui is currently the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Azalea Asset Management, which she helped to found in 2015. At Azalea, Ms Lui leads an experienced team of investment managers, overseeing a portfolio valued at US$10 billion.

Dexus Funds Management Limited (DXFM) the Responsible Entity of Dexus announced that Richard Sheppard will retire from his position as Director and Chair of the Board of DXFM, effective 27 October 2022 following the Dexus Annual General Meeting.

Upon Sheppard’s retirement, Warwick Negus will become the Chair of the Board of DXFM.

HDR, an architecture, engineering, and planning firm, has named Simon Dormer as Sustainability Leader, cementing the company’s commitment to sustainable business processes and project execution and laying the groundwork for HDR’s future trajectory towards truly regenerative design.
