More appointments at JLL, MaxCap strengthens its national footprint, Colliers beefs its residential team while Property Industry Foundation grabs a new board member.

JLL has announced the appointment of Will Hamilton, JLL’s current Head of CBD Office Leasing – NSW, to the position of Head of Office Leasing – NSW.

Will has over 13 years of property expertise and joined JLL Office Leasing in 2015. In 2018, he migrated to Singapore with JLL, where he oversaw managing over 160,000 square metres of leased and owned real estate across Asia Pacific on behalf of major corporate occupier customers.

Will has overseen large lease appointments in the CBD and North Sydney since rejoining the NSW Office Leasing team in 2019. Salesforce Tower, Chifley Tower, 1 Bligh, Darling Park, and 101 Miller are among his projects.

Also in a new role at JLL is Trya D’Sylva, who next month will transfer from her existing role into the company’s Office Leasing team as a Leasing Executive. 

Tyra joined JLL at the beginning of 2020, as the Executive Team Assistant for Perth’s PAM Commercial team, she was later appointed to a dual role, with the additional function of Executive Assistant to the Managing Director – WA.

MaxCap Group has appointed Adam Cook as director to its Direct Investment team, strengthening its national footprint.

Cook will be responsible for generating new equity investment opportunities with joint venture partners and supervising deals in Victoria, South Australia, and Western Australia, reporting to Simon Hulett, MaxCap’s Head of Direct Investment. He’ll be stationed in Melbourne for the time being.

He comes to MaxCap from Wingate Group, where he was a director, and before that, he worked for Australian Unity as General Manager Commercial in their Retirement Village and Residential Aged Care business.

Colliers International has announced the hiring of industry heavyweight Troy Linnane as Director, Development Site Sales, Residential. Linnane rejoins the firm following eight years at JLL, having previously served as Colliers’ National Director Valuation & Advisory.

He will join Brendan Hogan’s team, bringing 25 years of expertise and deep understanding of the south-east Queensland home market.

Anthony Boyd, CEO of Frasers Property Australia, has been named to the Property Industry Foundation’s board of directors for a three-year term. 

McVeigh Consultants, a Queensland architectural and engineering firm, has increased its team of expertise to support its sustained expansion and strategic drive towards a larger market share.

Imran Naeem, who has relocated from Sydney to join McVeigh as an Associate Structural Engineer, is one of the new team members who will assist drive this strategic push.

Lina Ayala, a senior architect, recently migrated from New York to Melbourne for an associate post at architectural design company Gensler. The build-to-rent expert has worked with the firm since 2015.

After three years in Singapore heading strategic partnerships across Asia Pacific, Luke Drummond has begun a new job as head of alliances for KPMG Australia and KPMG Asia Pacific. He will succeed Renee DeLaine, who has gone to Dell Technologies as senior director of A/NZ global partnerships. 

Luke Hammond has started a new position as Property Director at ALDI Stories Australia. 

Joel Duffy has been promoted to the role of Associate Director – NSW Office Leasing at Cushman & Wakefield.
