ISPT appoints a new CEO, Frasers Property Australia promoted one of their own to General Counsel, Taylor makes multiple new hires and Cushman and Wakefield appoints a new Head of Integrated Facilities Management.
ISPT has appointed Chris Chapple as its next CEO following the decision by longstanding CEO Daryl Browning to step down, as announced in February.
Chapple is currently the CEO of 151 Property Group, which oversees Blackstone’s real estate operations in Australia and New Zealand.
Chapple has 25 years of experience in the property market, having worked with JLL, Multiplex, and Charter Hall in development, asset management (all sectors), and funds management.
He was named CEO of 151 Property in 2016 and has increased its ANZ business and improved its real estate platform over the last six years, while reinventing its strategy and mission and increasing investor returns.
A transfer between CEOs is now being arranged, with Chapple’s formal start date to be announced shortly.
Cvet Trpeski has been promoted to the position of General Counsel at Frasers Property Australia.
Trpeski, who leads Frasers Property’s national legal function, oversees the team that coordinates all legal work throughout the company’s development operations and investment portfolio, as well as corporate finance and other corporate compliance and risk management.
Trpeski is currently part of Frasers Property Australia’s Executive Management Team.
Taylor has announced the addition of Metin Tokcan as the new Construction Manager to its senior industrial team.
Tokcan will work alongside Jerry Fanos, Taylor’s new General Manager Industrial, who started in January 2022, and Daniel Bacic, Taylor’s Pre-Construction Manager, who has been with the company for around seven years.
Tokcan joins Taylor with 15 years of commercial and industrial construction expertise, having previously worked at CIP (ESR Australia) and Lendlease.
Damian Kells has been promoted to Head of Integrated Facilities Management (IFM), Asia Pacific, by Cushman & Wakefield.
Kells will report to Cameron Ahrens as Head of IFM, Asia Pacific, and will be a member of the Global Occupier Services (GOS) Asia Pacific executive team. He will oversee pursuing IFM’s mission to develop an industry-leading differentiated model and to use global best practises to ensure that all clients receive great service.
Kells will be located in Singapore and will work with the firm’s IFM executives on a local and global level, supporting the capabilities of the country-based IFM businesses to improve the entire client experience and offer a high and consistent quality of service throughout the Asia Pacific region.
Malcolm Smith, Arup’s head of cities in Australia, has been named a co-chair of the WELL City Advisory.
Also at Arup, Natalie Cameron has been appointed as Head of Communications for Australasia. She joins the firm from Mirvac.
Aurecon, a design, engineering, and consultancy firm, has named Dr Belinda Wade to head up its climate transition risk consulting in Australia and New Zealand. Dr Wade will manage the company’s sustainability and climate change services to fulfil demand for expertise in business decarbonisation. He has more than two decades of experience in sustainability and a PhD focused on corporate decarbonisation.
Amanda Sturgeon, an architect, author, and TED speaker, will be the first chief executive officer of the organisation Built by Nature in Amsterdam. She has been the regenerative design lead at Mott McDonald since 2020, and she was a founding member of the International Living Future Institute.
Hayball, a Melbourne design and planning firm, has elevated architect Kit Ku to principle. She joined the business in 2017 after leaving Architecture BVN, and she has expertise with municipal and educational projects.
Justin Kirk has joined JLL WA’s Engineering and Operations Solutions department as an EOS Project Manager.
