The GPT group announced two new significant appointments to lead the strategic direction of the GPT Wholesale Office Fund (GWOF).

Micah Schulz has been appointed Fund Manager, GWOF and Head of Office Investment Management. Micah brings some 20 years of real estate and funds experience and most recently managed the Australian Prime Property Fund Commercial at Lendlease. Micah will commence in October.

Frank Lonetti will join as the new Head of Office Development in October, playing a key role in unlocking embedded value from our current portfolio while helping to replenish the group’s existing office development pipeline. With over 20 years of experience, including his recent role at Mirvac, Frank will add his deep experience in commercial development, deal origination, capital partnering and project delivery.

BDO Australia has announced the appointment of David Garvey as the firm’s new Chief Executive Partner (CEP). Mr Garvey will officially take up the CEP position at the end of 2025 and will succeed Mr Tony Schiffmann, a cornerstone of the firm’s leadership for over 25 years. David has been with BDO since 2012 and is currently Office Managing Partner in Melbourne. David’s appointment marks a pivotal chapter in BDO’s journey of growth and transformation, as the firm marks 50 years as a national network in Australia.

AXA IM Alts has announced senior appointments to head two key regions in the firm’s global growth ambitions.

Laurent Jacquemin, currently Head of Asia Pacific, has been appointed Head of North America. He will succeed Steve McCarthy, who has decided to retire at the end of the year after almost 13 years with AXA IM Alts and following a distinguished career spanning over 35 years in real estate investment management.

Laurent brings more than 25 years of real estate industry experience, having joined AXA IM Alts in 2001.

Antoine Mesnage has been promoted to Head of Asia Pacific, effective 1 July, while continuing his role as Head of Australia. Antoine brings nearly 20 years of real estate investment management expertise and a deep understanding of local markets in both Europe and Asia Pacific.

Knight Frank is expanding its Victorian industrial team to cater for anticipated growth in market activity and demand in the sector.

With recent additions, the team now numbers up to 18 across the state, including department coordinators.

The additions include:

  • Harley Bowen joins as Director, Industrial Investments, bringing over a decade of experience from LOGOS Property Group and Goodman.
  • Rachael Ragusa steps up from Department Coordinator to her new role as Sales and Leasing Executive, Industrial Logistics, covering Melbourne’s western suburbs.
  • Chris Bolsin continues to strengthen the team as Sales and Leasing Executive, focusing on Geelong and regional Victoria.
  • Ally Jones will transition to Department Coordinator, Victorian Industrial and Logistics.
  • Michael Variah joins the team as an Analyst, enhancing data collection and analysis capabilities.
